To compliment this site and all the online computer tutorials on offer I have setup a computer help forum where you can go to ask your questions.
I will show you how to hide or show the power meter (battery meter) in Windows 7
Instructions
You need to "right click" on the taskbar, the task bar is the little strip at the bottom of the window where all your icons are like in the image below. Then left click on "Properties"
This will open a window like the image below.
You now need to click on "Customize"
When you click on "Customize" a new window will open like below. If you look down the list you will see it says "Power" to the right of that there is a drop down box. This drop down box gives you 3 options
1, Show icon and notifications
2, Hide icon and notifications
3, Only show notifications
The 3 options have very obvious meanings so take your pick
click on "OK" to close the window your settings are now saved.
